About Us
Villaggio is more than a place. It’s people; people with vision and fierce determination to age in place with joy and confidence. We have been overwhelmed with the response to our plan, with hundreds of people already on our interest list (and we haven’t even begun construction).
Meet the Neighbors
Villaggio is proud to have 650+ people on our interest list, with 90% of them from the Central Coast – and more than half of those from the SLO City itself. We’re including some video comments from members of our Ambassadors group to give you a real‐people perspective on how our residents feel about Villaggio.
Our Mission
It’s important to Villaggio that our mission and values are more than sentences on paper. These are the guiding principles embraced by every member of our team. And while we may print these on a wall hanging, we carry them as well in our hearts and minds and live them on behalf of our residents.
Villaggio’s Mission:
To provide an innovative and enriched living environment for older adults who want to live better and longer, in the comfort and security of their own home, surrounded by residents who cherish community and life-fulfillment, with access to a continuum of long-term care.
Statement of Core Values:
- We empower continued growth and adventure through life’s journey.
- We redefine aging by challenging the status quo.
- We create and foster meaningful relationships.
- We serve with kindness, inclusiveness and respect.
- We believe in a community culture that embraces purposeful living amongst residents, families and staff.
- We are stewards of lifelong learning both at home and in the greater community.
Our Team
The Villaggio team reflects the power of bringing together skilled professionals who share vision and passion. Whether board member, Ambassador or professional staff, every Villaggio team member drives excellence. The result is a winning collaboration.

Ambassadors
The Villaggio SLO Ambassadors are a group of local residents who believe fervently in the need for a Life Plan Community in San Luis Obispo. These volunteers are a cross section of the future Villaggio population, and they reflect the impressive depth of support there is for the project.
